School Closing/Delay Information:  As we approach winter, it is time to remind ourselves for unanticipated school closing or delays.  Schools will be closed on in the event of a declared city-wide emergency or if prevailing weather conditions are considered so severe as to place children en route to school in a clearly dangerous or unhealthy situation.  This conditions include:  Impassable streets and/or sidewalks; Extreme cold temperatures and/or gale-like winds.

The local TV channels will announce the closing or delay of school during the 6:00 AM news. Radio stations will also announce delays and closings.  You will receive a parent broadcast as soon as we get word of school closing.

Blessed Sacrament will follow the decision of the Erie Public School District.  If the radio and television stations report that Erie Public Elementary Schools are closed then Blessed Sacrament School is closed.  The same procedure will be followed for school delays.
